LKQ Euro Car Parts has expanded its offering for independent garages by adding auxiliary and reinforced springs from suspension systems specialist MAD to its product range.
MAD springs are ideal for drivers of high-load vehicles, such as LCVs, mobile homes and caravans, and taxis.
An auxiliary spring is designed to provide extra suspension support when the main spring is no longer able to handle a vehicle’s heavy load. It only comes into action when a certain load threshold is exceeded.
Reinforced main springs are replacement springs specifically for a vehicle’s rear axle, that provide stronger support especially when the load is higher than usual, which can cause the rear of the vehicle to sag.
Netherlands-based MAD has been ensuring driver comfort and safety tailored to each vehicle’s needs for almost half a century.
All of its springs are quality-approved by TÜV SÜD and RDW, meaning they meet the highest international automotive standards.
Colin Cottrell, marketing director at LKQ Euro Car Parts, said: “The MAD brand ethos is in line with our own.
“They constantly evolve and improve the parts and service they provide to customers and have an ongoing focus on research and development to not only enhance existing products, but to launch new ones too.
“With our MAD springs range, garages can offer their customers a trusted brand at a great price, keeping them at a comfortable driving height and in complete control whether their vehicle is laden or not, throughout any length of journey.
“They can also explain to customers how this product is tailored to their specific needs and the benefits they will feel at the wheel.
“Doing this will help garages to engage drivers in repairs and empower them to make their own decisions when it comes to their vehicles, an important way to drive customer loyalty and trust.”
