LKQ Euro Car Parts has announced an evolution of its operations designed to enhance customer service and strengthen its operational capabilities. The changes aim to bring the company closer to its customers and maintain its leading position in the UK aftermarket.
A key development is a one-third increase in customer-facing account manager positions. This reflects LKQ Euro Car Parts’ commitment to providing more frequent in-person contact and expert advice to help customers address business challenges and achieve growth.
In addition to expanding its account management teams, LKQ Euro Car Parts is creating dedicated operational roles. This aims to further enhance its market-leading parts availability and rapid order fulfilment. By separating previously combined account management and operational duties into distinct specialisms, the company aims to build deeper expertise within the organisation.
Kevan Wooden, CEO of LKQ UK & Ireland, commented: “This is all about getting the best out of our people by allowing them to focus on what they excel at. At the same time, the market is evolving rapidly, and we need to reflect that by moving to a model that is fit for the future and capable of supporting our customers as they lean into the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. By increasing the number of colleagues we have in customer-facing roles, we’re giving our customers more access to our expertise and better support in their local branches – all while doubling down on our operational strengths to ensure we remain the industry leader in getting the basics right.”
The new structure will also create career development opportunities for existing employees, with clear progression pathways in both sales and operations. This includes new Account Manager positions, as well as Area Sales Manager and Area Operations Manager roles. There will also be a greater focus on operational excellence in branch management, creating further opportunities for existing colleagues. Some existing operational management roles have been transitioned to field-based and customer-facing roles.
