LKQ UK & Ireland has been recognised by the Embassy of Ukraine for its significant humanitarian aid efforts in the country.
A delegation from the Embassy visited LKQ’s Tamworth headquarters to acknowledge the company’s contributions, which include the donation and delivery of over 200 tonnes of aid, 34 ambulances, and over £6,000 worth of prescription medicine.
LKQ employees from across the UK played a crucial role in organising and delivering aid to Ukraine. Dawid Kozlowski, LKQ Demand Planner, coordinated the delivery of essential supplies and was recognised with a Volunteer Award for his efforts.
Richard Morgan, executive board advisor at LKQ UK & Ireland, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting Ukraine: “We are proud of our colleagues’ dedication and compassion in helping those in need during this difficult time.”
Rachel Taylor, MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, praised LKQ for their generosity and the positive impact their aid has had on the Ukrainian people.
Eduard Fesko, Ukrainian Deputy Ambassador to the UK, expressed gratitude for the UK public’s support and highlighted the invaluable assistance provided by LKQ in saving lives and boosting morale.
LKQ’s commitment to humanitarian causes extends beyond Ukraine. The company recently completed its second annual Summer of FUNdraising campaign, raising over £140,000 for various charities, including Ukraine relief efforts.
Through these initiatives, LKQ demonstrates its dedication to making a positive impact and supporting communities in need, wherever they are.
