With an extensive range of coil springs, Kilen has introduced more than 190 references through FPS over the past 12 months.
Highlights include 12230(A) for Fiat Punto 1.4 (2012-2015), 50237(A) for Audi A3 1.6 (2003-2013) and 11132(B) for BMW X5 xDrive 3.0 (2010-2014).
Produced in their own factories to ensure high quality standards and full control over availability, Kilen offers both parallel wire and tapered wire coil spring designs.
Kilen springs use only the highest grade steel from selected mills to achieve the exceptional surface and internal wire quality that is necessary for modern suspension springs to ensure safety of their springs.
This reduces their susceptibility to surface and inner defects that can impede spring fatigue strength which leads to premature sagging and increases the risk of early breakage.
After coiling, each Kilen spring undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment process to improve fatigue strength while ensuring a tough and ductile spring.
The springs are then bombarded with millions of tiny steel shots in a process called ‘shot peening’ to further improve fatigue strength and provide an optimal surface for painting.
Kilen protects each spring from corrosion with a chemical process known as zinc phosphating and coats them with an epoxy powder resin which is much more durable than standard paint.
Kilen coil springs are supplied with a comprehensive warranty – three years on parallel springs, and two years on tapered wire alternatives.
