The event saw Garage Hive workshops, employees, partners, and friends unite to complete the 25km route used for UK Special Forces training.
Despite the challenging weather, over 30 participants ascended Pen y Fan’s west slope, descended ‘Jacob’s Ladder’, and continued along the old Roman road. Alex Lindley, Director of Garage Hive, said:
“The Blend Hike serves as more than just a physical challenge; it’s a fun opportunity for our community to come together, share experiences, and strengthen bonds,” “It truly embodies the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie that defines Garage Hive.”
The community supported each other throughout the challenging route, which is only suitable for experienced adventurers. Plans are now in progress for another charity hike following The Blend 2024, the annual conference for independent garages, which last year raised over £12,000 for the industry charity, Ben.
