The Blend, the annual conference and networking event for independent garages, has announced the first wave of speakers for its 2024 edition. The event will be held at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Saturday, 28 September.
Attendees can expect a mix of returning speakers, known for their insightful presentations, and new voices bringing fresh perspectives to the industry.
Familiar faces and new insights
Returning Experts: Matt Cleevely (Cleevely Group) and Andy Crook (Got Boost) are back by popular demand, offering updated knowledge on electric vehicles (EVs) and adapting to changing trends in diesel car sales, respectively.
New Voices Join the Mix: Louise Baker (Womanic) will address diversity within the sector, Nathan Taylor (Walsall Wood) will discuss leveraging social media, and Michael Shaikly (Shaikly Motor Company) will emphasise the importance of selecting the right customers.
Dynamic conference format and networking opportunities
The Blend 2024 promises a dynamic format with four concurrent sessions, allowing attendees to choose talks that best suit their interests. Trade stands will showcase the latest garage innovations, and the day concludes with an evening dinner, awards ceremony, and entertainment.

Over 300 delegates, including independent garages, invited suppliers, and industry press, are expected to attend. You can secure tickets at an early bird rate of £125 + VAT per person.
Supporting the industry
The Blend is a not-for-profit event, with any surplus proceeds donated to the automotive industry charity Ben.
