The Blend charity hike returns: Hike the Peak District for Ben!

The Blend is calling on independent garages in the UK and Ireland to join its annual Charity Hike through the Peak District National Park on 25 September. The event offers a challenging but rewarding experience while raising funds for the automotive industry charity Ben.

Open to all garages, the hike provides a unique opportunity to:

  • Push your limits physically and enjoy the beauty of the Peak District
  • Connect and network with fellow industry professionals
  • Contribute to a fantastic cause supporting those working in the automotive sector

The route:

  • The hike kicks off in Highshaw Clough and ascends towards Winstone Lee Tor.
  • Hikers will reach Derwent Edge for panoramic views of the Upper Derwent Valley.
  • The path continues along the ridge, reaching the highest point at Back Tor.
  • The descent leads by the Lost Lad memorial and the tranquil Ladybower Reservoir.
  • The final leg follows Derwent Lane past the reservoir and Ashopton Viaduct before returning to the starting point.

Participants are encouraged to contribute to the fundraising efforts for Ben. Ben provides crucial support to people working in the automotive industry, offering financial aid, mental health assistance, and practical help.

Last year, the hike raised an impressive £12,000 for Ben.
