GKN Aftermarket organisation is exhibiting at this year’s Automechanika in Frankfurt, supported by GKN Sinter Metals and Motorsport.
The primary theme is the “one-brand” strategy within the international aftermarket, which now unites the established brands globally under the umbrella of GKN Driveline.
This presence also stands as a clear commitment to Automechanika, a leading trade fair on the international automotive stage, and marks GKN’s return to Frankfurt after an absence of six years.
“There is no better platform for OEM and aftermarket business,” says Frank Hürter, Commercial Director Automotive Aftermarket.
“Powertrain technology is changing at a rapid pace right now.
“And with so many innovations in its OEM business, GKN is a major contributor to that change.
“On our stand, retail operations and workshops will have the opportunity to gain an insight into those technologies that they will soon be dealing with in their day-to-day business.”
Leading-edge technology
A Formula E racing car will be one of the highlights on the stand. GKN is working closely with Panasonic Jaguar Racing to make the I-TYPE 2 faster.
Thanks to GKN’s comprehensive expertise, not just in the automotive industry but also in aviation, the driveshafts, differential, lightweight pump system and transmission have all been designed to be even more efficient.
And one of the Jaguar drivers will be able to explain that directly to customers and the media on 12.09.2018, when he will be available on the stand for questions and interviews.
