GSF Car Parts’ latest ‘Here Comes Summer’ holiday promotion winner is Brookfield Garage, located near their Bristol Central branch.
The independent added the main prize of £5,000 in holiday vouchers to £1,500 of Love 2 Shop vouchers already awarded for reaching their top level target in each of the first three months of 2017.
Brookfield Garage was founded in 1999 by former main dealer technicians Pete Coles and Steve Hale and now undertakes service and MOT work on all makes and models, specialising on Fords.
Pete said the business had grown steadily each year, but then more quickly as the financial crash hit.
“We expanded in 2007 when lots of others had difficulties,” he said.
“We moved into bigger premises and it’s grown from three staff then including us to 14 now with six ramps in the workshop.”
One constant however has been the relationship with GSF Car Parts – which has recently been reinforced.
“We got to the stage where we wanted to partner with one supplier,” said Pete.
“We put it out to tender to see what people were willing to do and GSF won.”
“We like dealing with them; it’s no single thing but deliveries are reliable, service is good and if something goes wrong they’ll put it right,” added business partner Steve Hale.
“Everyone works together so continuity is there and we’re not reliant on any one person.”
‘Hard work of the team’
Bristol Central branch manager Danny Collins said: “It means a lot to us that they’ve won this.
“As a branch we’ve been absolutely flying, March was our best ever month and it’s down to the hard work of the team of 24 staff.”
“We’ll share [the prize] with the guys at the garage,” said Pete.
“We tend to pool prizes; it’s down to their hard work at the end of the day.”
GSF’s business development manager Leighton Phillips, said: “We’re pleased a good reliable garage has won.
“They work on our vans too; they’re nice chaps and it’s great to give something back.”
