Laser Tools has launched the 8997 Exhaust Gas Sensor Socket Set, designed for the removal and installation of oxygen, NOx, and temperature sensors in exhaust systems.
The set includes five sockets in common sensor sizes: 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm. The sockets feature a short-series design and side slots to accommodate sensor wiring harnesses, enabling work in confined spaces.
The sockets can be driven using a 1/2″ drive ratchet or a 24/30mm spanner. For increased torque, both tools can be used simultaneously. The 1/2″ drive allows for the use of a torque wrench during refitting.
The sockets have a depth of 67–70mm and are manufactured from chrome-molybdenum steel with a black phosphate finish for corrosion resistance.
The set is supplied in an EVA foam tray, suitable for roll-cab drawers. Individual sockets can be purchased separately under Laser part numbers 9000, 8999, 8998, 8063, and 8590.
The 8997 Exhaust Gas Sensor Socket Set is available from Laser Tools stockists and online retailers.
