Laser Tools has launched a user-friendly battery and alternator tester suitable for both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems (part number 8873). This tool provides fast, reliable readings to help diagnose potential issues with your vehicle’s battery or alternator.
The tester features a clear LED display that shows voltage output. With the engine running, simply connect the tester to the battery terminals, and the display will indicate if the alternator is overcharging or functioning normally (around 13.5V). Similarly, the battery status will be shown as good (above 75% capacity), fair (above 25% capacity), or poor (below 25% capacity).
For hands-free operation during testing, the tester has a magnetic strip on the back that allows it to be attached to the engine bay or bonnet.
This simple tool comes with both a red positive test lead with probe and a black negative test lead with a crocodile clip.
