British drag racing honours safety organisation for global impact

Sponsored by Lucas Oil, this year’s award was presented by the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame and recognises the SFI’s role in raising safety standards in drag racing and motorsports in general.

SFI is a non-profit organisation, established in 1978 to issue and administer standards of quality assurance in specialised racing equipment.

The standards applied to drag racing and other forms of motorsport have undoubtedly saved lives.

Jennifer Faye, SFI vice president accepted the award from Motorsport UK’s race and speed executive, Cheryl Lynch.

The British Drag Racing Hall of Fame was established to recognise significant contributions or achievements in the sport of British drag racing.
