First F2 Win of the season for Lucas Oil Car

The DAMS F2 motor sport racing team recorded its first win of the season in last weekend’s Feature Race at the Circuit Paul Ricard, in France.

Car #17, driven by Ayumu Iwasa in Red Bull Junior colours, swept through the field and controlled the race.

He eventually won by over 8 seconds to collect his first ever F2 win.

It was a just reward for a driver in form.

He qualified in second place, finished sixth in the Sprint Race on the Saturday to secure three points for the team and collected 25 for the win on Sunday.

He has demonstrated good driving consistency and a keen racing brain in every race this season.

Team-mate Roy Nissany was also in good form in the #16 car.

He sliced through the rear end of the field, gaining 11 places to secure another 2 points for the Team Championship.

As a result, DAMS has moved up two places to 6th overall.

The team also uses products such as Lucas Oil Brake Cleaner and other products including the Slick Mist car care range, which help to ensure clean and slick performances in every race.

Lucas Oil’s sales and operations director, Dan Morgan said: “We were hoping for a strong start to the second half of the season. I think we just got it.”
