Tony Lynch’s new-look Lucas Oil-sponsored Toyota MR2 scored a hat-trick of third place finishes in three heats during the combined Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2021 Retro Rallycross Championship meeting at Lydden Hil, last weekend.
With points across the two rounds being awarded for both qualifying and the finals, Tony and his Team Geriatric secured a double podium finish to move ahead in the standings, with an average of 8 points going into Round 3, at Pembrey (29,30 August 2021).
“It’s great to come away from the opening round with two podium finishes, but we’re under no illusions about the fact that we have work to do ahead of the next round,” he said. “We have done a lot over the winter to improve the performance of the car.”
Tony’s Team Geriatric car runs on Lucas Oil’s 20w50 oil.
To compensate for the extreme racing conditions, the engineering team fortifies the oil with Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Engine Oil Stabilizer.
It adds protection for the engine across the entire season.
The gearbox is lubricated by Lucas Oil’s 75×90 synthetic oil.
