Tony Lynch podium in Lucas Oil colours

Wigan racer Tony Lynch’s successful return to BTRDA competitions continued with a hard-earned podium finish.

Lynch is back in his Ford Ka, but now driving with the Paul Waldron Motorsport Team, with engineering support from members of Team Geriatric.

The Ford Ka engine runs on Lucas Oil’s 5W30 fully synthetic, which is the US lubricant and additive manufacturer’s top selling off-the shelf product for the UK car market.

To compensate for the extreme racing conditions, the team fortifies it with Lucas Oil heavy duty engine oil stabilizer.

It adds protection for the engine across the entire season.

Despite difficulties in practice and crossing the finishing line in fourth place during the final, Lynch was correctly promoted to second place by keen-eyed race officials.

The Autosport International BTRDA Rallycross Championship, presented by Cooper Tires, will feature five rounds this season.

Round 4 is at the Blydon Park Circuit (Lincolnshire), on October 4.
