OSRAM launches new range of solar battery chargers

OSRAM has announced the launch of its new BATTERYcharge SOLAR panel range. This expansion into the battery maintenance sector marks the latest addition to OSRAM’s growing automotive car care and equipment line.

The new BATTERYcharge SOLAR range is designed as an off-grid power solution for caravans, campervans, and outdoor use. The range comprises three water-resistant products that can function in wet and overcast conditions and are foldable for easy storage. All products in the range come with OSRAM’s two-year guarantee.

The BATTERYcharge SOLAR 100W (OHPS100) offers up to 100W of solar power for charging and maintaining 12V leisure batteries in vehicles. It includes a 12V/10A charge control regulator with a USB output port and a robust aluminium stand, along with a five-metre battery lead and connecting clamps for simple plug-and-play setup.

The BATTERYcharge SOLAR 200W (OHPS200) provides up to 200W of solar power and also features a five-metre lead, connecting clamps, and a 12V/20A charge control regulator with a USB output port. While slightly larger than the 100W version, it remains easy to set up and use.

The BATTERYcharge SOLAR 20W (OFSP20) is a compact and lightweight option providing up to 20W of solar power for charging small electrical devices like mobile phones, tablets, and laptops via integrated USB-C and USB-A ports. It is water-resistant, functions in overcast conditions, and includes an integrated stand for independent use, folding away for convenient storage, making it suitable for camping and hiking.

OSRAM’s Marketing Manager, Terri Clark, highlighted the increasing popularity of staycations and campervans, noting the demand for off-grid charging solutions for both vehicles and personal devices. She also pointed out that solar battery maintainers offer an environmentally friendly way to maintain vehicle batteries during inactivity and supply power for 12V leisure batteries, providing users with confidence for their travels.
