Polybush has listened to feedback from Mazda specialists and MX-5 owners to develop a door bush that is not only a structural upgrade but also retains the OEM looks.
By replacing the original rubber bushing with Polybush’s door bush, the doors become a more structural part of the vehicle, increasing torsional and overall rigidity.
The original soft rubber part fitted to the MX-5 wears away over time, further opening the gap between the two pieces, reducing rigidity and increasing vibration. Though originally a great part to isolate noise, vibration and harshness, it offered little structural rigidity.
Installing the Polybush upgrade significantly reduces the flex within the door enclosure, as the bush fits snugly into the door cup for an improved connection between the body and the door.
This reduces rattles while increasing audio quality and offering a satisfying, less tinny door closure. Though still designed to work with OEM bolts, the bushes come with replacement bolts so it is very much a ’bolt on’ upgrade.
Manufacturing the bushes from polyurethane allows for easier fitment as there is no need to cut down or sand the bush to suit.
It’s simply a case of unbolting the old bushes, install the Polybush upgrade, shutting the door to align the part, then tighten to spec.
