Ring Carnation has appointed Connor Beard as its new Divisional Director, following the retirement of Richard Morley.
Beard joins Ring Carnation from Baldwin & Francis Ltd, where he held the position of Operations Director. His previous experience also includes a career in the British Army, where he served as a Captain in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
Beard brings expertise in electrical power management and control systems, gained from his roles in both the military and private sector. He will be responsible for the continued growth and success of the Ring Carnation business.
Connor said: “From my short time within the Ring Carnation team, I’ve been most impressed by the positive environment and culture; everyone is passionate about what they do, and passionate about doing their best for each other, the customer, and the end-user. The personal bonds between team members, and their compassion for one another demonstrates excellent team spirit and a shared purpose – the work culture and customer focus within Ring Automotive / Carnation is second to none”.
“The core Genysis system has so much transferable utility to add value in other sectors, and the sheer number of potential opportunities to be unlocked through minor development is extremely exciting.”
“Ring Carnation is a small, highly technical and tight knit team, primed to collaborate and innovate. Together, they are capable of exciting things, and only require investment and focus to achieve this and do even greater things.”
“The support and appetite to resource and invest this innovation and development from the leadership of Ring Automotive and ams-OSRAM is there. Plus, there are subject matter experts and other resources sat within the group to assist with any new innovation or product development.”
“Therefore, the opportunity, capability, and desire exist for the business to do incredible things in the future. This really excites me, and breaking new ground over the years ahead will likely be one of the more enjoyable and rewarding parts of the role.”
“When presented with the details of the job role and the vision they had for the future, it was clear to me that this was a position in which I could leverage the full breadth of the knowledge, skills, and experience gained within the British Army and Baldwin and Francis Ltd to add value to the business and its customers; so, I’m very excited to take this position and make the most of this opportunity.”
