REPXPERT Wrenches and Wisdom video series kicks off with first instalment release

The first installment in Schaeffler’s all-new REPXPERT Wrenches and Wisdom video series has been released across Schaeffler’s social media channels.

The six-minute film, shot at the live launch event held in September at the North London Garages Group Training Association (NLGGTA) H.Q in Enfield, features an array of famous industry faces and sets the scene for the whole campaign.

The new series is placing the spotlight on apprenticeships while also offering garage owners and technicians across the country a platform to share their stories and experiences to inspire the up-and-coming mechanics of tomorrow.

In the inaugural video, major names including Colin Denton, NLGGTA Chief Executive and star of TV’s ‘Classic Car Garage’, Womanic’s Louise Baker and Matt Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd, explain why the ongoing skills crisis makes Wrenches and Wisdom so essential, and also looks at the importance of ongoing training.

“Going above and beyond is what we aspire to do,” said Matt Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd. “Colin Denton’s speech at our REPXPERT Conference in May opened our eyes to the fact that we could do more, which led to the campaign being created.”

The video shows the specially invited audience of apprentices and trainee vehicle technicians absorbing knowledge through presentations led by senior REPXPERT Alistair Mason and INA Product Specialist Brad Adams.

“This initial video sets the stage for what will follow via Wrenches and Wisdom,” said Matt. “We want to inspire today’s industry leaders to show the way for the technicians of tomorrow.”

More videos are set to be released over the next few weeks, including exclusive interviews with garage owners and apprentices, who will be sharing their stories and ideas. There will also be more Wrenches and Wisdom live events.
