Schaeffler promise ‘Journey of Discovery’ at Automechanika

Schaeffler will combine ‘innovation, information and interaction’ on a 1,200 m²  stand at Frankfurt where 3D technology will let visitors experience technology first-hand.

Schaeffler – celebrating 40 years in the automotive aftermarket – will demonstrate its technical excellence, intelligent automotive solutions and outstanding services during the exhibition which is being held on September 13-17.

Visitors to stand 1, Level 0 in the Forum, will experience a virtual journey through three focus topics. Using 3D glasses, they will steer a small spaceship through the interior of a car engine to learn even more about the current engine components and repair solutions offered by INA, for example.

Michael Söding, President of the Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket Management Board, said: “This kind of presentation gives us the chance to make increasingly complex technology understandable.

“At Automechanika, we will show distributors and garages how they can participate and profit from our innovation by using products and repair solutions from Schaeffler.”

Automechanika is featuring a special exhibition called ‘Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility’. The ABT Schaeffler Formula-E race car, along with innovative system solutions for original equipment (OE) manufacture – like the E-Clutch, the E-Wheel Drive and the Schaeffler Hybrid Module – will be part of this special exhibition.

Schaeffler celebrated the global OE launch of its dry double clutch system in 2008. The repair solution for this in the automotive aftermarket is the unique LuK RepSet 2CT, which delivers a quick and professional repair when used with the accompanying specially developed tool.

As well as products and repair solutions in all vehicle segments, the stand will also highlight Schaeffler’s REPXPERT online portal, with demonstrations highlighting how it can generate added value to workshop professionals during their daily work.
