Cabin3Tech+, the innovative cabin air filter launched by Sogefi (CIR Group) at the last Automechanika Frankfurt, is available to order with aftermarket brands Purflux and FRAM.

56 new references, which cover 150 million cars around Europe, including models from Peugeot, DS, Toyota, Renault, Fiat, and Volkswagen, are now available to purchase.

Cabin3Tech+ is the latest innovation from Sogefi, the French company that designs, develops and produces filtration systems, flexible suspension components and air management and engine cooling systems for vehicles.

It uses its carbon filtration technology to remove large particles, neutralise odours and hazardous fumes in a cabin to stop up to 98.8 per cent of fine particles – some as small as 2.5 microns.

Sogefi has recommended that a cabin air filter be replaced every 15,000 km (9,320 miles).

They believe that replacing the cabin air filter is necessary for the well-being and longevity of all occupants of a vehicle.

This is not only to maintain a high-level of air quality inside the vehicle, but also to ensure that the ventilation system functions properly – a clogged filter can hinder the ventilation system causing fogging and decreasing visibility through the windscreen.

With this innovation, Sogefi and its Purflux and Fram brands, together with distributors and garages, believe that health can be improved.

Sogefi research has suggested that the air inside a vehicle can be almost four times more polluted than the air outside when a cabin air filter is blocked.
