Sykes-Pickavant releases multi-link suspension bolt drilling kit
The GO170 multi-link suspension bolt drilling kit.

The bolt on multi-link suspension arms can prove difficult to remove without a specialist tool due to its length and seating, according to Sykes-Pickavant.

A Sykes-Pickavant spokesperson said: “When seized, the bolt can prove even more of a challenge to extract.

“With ball-joints unable to be extracted without first addressing the seized bolt, it is imperative to have a tool on hand to tackle the job.”

The new GO170 multi-link suspension bolt drilling kit is the ideal solution for removing seized bolts and includes various components for damage-free disassembly, regardless of the position of the steering box and the screw’s direction inside the fixing hole.

Three gauges are also included to provide centralised drilling.

This solution does not crush or deform the bolt or break the expensive axle body.

Applications include Audi A4/A6/A8 (1994 – 2009), VW Passat (1996 – 2005), Seat Exeo (2008 onwards) and Skoda Superb (2001-2002).

The GO170 features in Sykes-Pickavant’s upcoming promotional brochure which can be viewed by following the ‘more details’ link from 2nd September.
