Venom induction heater named Sykes-Pickavant “bestseller”

Sykes-Pickavant has named the Venom induction heater as one of its bestsellers and launched a new deluxe kit.

Following on from the Venom’s success, Sykes-Pickavant has launched a Venom deluxe kit which includes extra coils to suit an even wider range of applications than the standard kit.

The new deluxe kit includes the standard induction heater as well as a removable tray with eleven labelled coils; including nine interchangeable pre-formed coils to heat fasteners up to 1 1/2” at a variety of lengths from 4” – 10” long, the flexible bearing buddy for wrapping around inline and asymmetrical objects and the straight heat resistant U-Form coil for DIY winding.

A Sykes-Pickavant spokesperson said: “By utilizing invisible heat, the Venom uses high frequency magnetic fields to release corroded and frozen hardware as well as other locked components up to 90 per cent faster than naked flame heating and with increased safety.

“This innovative technology can turn a ¾” nut red hot in less than 15 seconds, working on ferrous metals and some non-ferrous metals.

“This process comes without the collateral damage of torch heating meaning that fixings can be reused if required, allowing parts that would normally have to be discarded to be salvaged; saving on expensive consumables.

“The heat generated is precise and manageable and can be used on applications including bearings, shafts, pulley bolts and much more.

“Without the danger of an open flame metallic objects near plastic and rubber components can be easily worked on without the need for them to be removed, saving time and reducing labour by as much as 75 per cent.

“Adhesives bonded to metallic surfaces will release within seconds, freeing tough connections almost instantly.”
