The Parts Alliance member BBC Superfactors has moved premises just a year after first opening in Preston.
The new building has a full mezzanine, boosting storage capacity to around 20,000 square feet.
The prime aim is to increase the range of available stock, in order to meet growing demand from a customer base of local garages and workshops.
“We also needed space for tyres,” said managing director Gary Shulman.
“We’re importing containers of tyres and the new unit has the facility to handle these bulk deliveries.”
Gary says the branch is in the process of employing three additional staff to cater for the additional workload.
Today, the seven branch Lancashire motor factor’s head office is in Accrington with the other branches in Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Clitheroe – as well as Rawtenstall, which expanded its delivery fleet earlier this year.
“We now have 150 employees including 12 family members working with us,” said Gary.
“We’re excited to be moving to bigger premises in Preston so soon.”
Further enhancements are already planned for BBC Superfactors’ growing branch network.
