The conference provides a platform to allow TMD Friction customers to openly discuss changes to the automotive industry.

TMD Friction hosted ‘Future Perfect’, an exclusive event for customers to discuss the future of the automotive industry.

The aim of the event was to discuss the changing landscape of the industry and how manufacturers, motor factors and garages need to evolve to keep up with the advancements within the industry.

A key theme was the role technology has to play in tomorrow’s market and how TMD friction’s strategy will help to support its customers with innovative new products and services.

Guest speakers Neil Pattemore, technical director at FIGIEFA and Alan O’Neill, change consultant, also offered insightful presentations on how to manage change successfully and how future technology will impact on the industry.

New launches announced

The conference was also an opportunity for TMD Friction to announce some exciting new launches in the immediate future and how TMD will become more than a friction manufacturer but a complete braking solutions provider.

This will be complemented by new dedicated aftermarket offices and warehouse openings to optimise costs, reduce lead times and be in closer proximity to customers; reaffirming TMD’s position as a truly global friction manufacturer.

Tackle future challenges

David Baines, executive vice president independent aftermarket at TMD Friction, said: “Our industry is experiencing considerable change and as a global manufacturer it is our responsibility to ensure we drive that change, whilst supporting our customers along the journey.

“The ‘Future Perfect’ conference was the first in a series of events of its kind, we want to build a network for our customers that offers the opportunity to share insights and discuss the future challenges.

“Through this two-way engagement we will find solutions to these challenges together.”
