TPS has appointed MIXMOVE to provide the software behind its new logistics approach, ‘TPS OnRoute’ – an innovative optimisation solution that will help to further enhance its parts delivery service.
The new digital partnership will enable TPS to transform its customer deliveries thanks to dynamic route planning and driver management, which includes tracking through real-time data such as travel time, product location and traffic conditions.
The interactive and process-driven solution will also include a point-of-sale payment capability, an estimated time of arrival notification for customers and a sign on glass or photographic payment on delivery capability.
Warren Richards, TPS Head of Group Parts Operations, said: “TPS OnRoute will be trialled across five TPS centres as part of a pilot project.
“We are looking forward to seeing the initial results as we are confident that this technology, and the visibility it will provide, will help optimise the performance and sustainability of our deliveries.
“It will not only improve efficiency but it will also help enhance our value proposition to our independent motor trade customers who will always be our number one priority.”
MIXMOVE’s ground-breaking supply chain visibility software was recently awarded gold in The ALICE Logistics Innovation Award.
Prior to this, MIXMOVE was appointed by the European Commission as BEST INNOVATION IN EUROPE in the category of ICT for Society and is a two-time recipient of the Physical Internet Venture Award. MIXMOVE was also recognised by Garner as a cool vendor.
TPS, the Volkswagen Group owned Genuine Parts provider to the independent motor trade, supplies genuine parts and products for Audi, Cupra, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volkswagen passenger cars and commercial vehicles to customers in the independent motor trade operating in the United Kingdom.
