Demand for the S277 TSI hybrid has increased dramatically, Turbo Technics has reported.
A Turbo Technics spokesperson said: “Following some disruption from the pandemic, we have finally received the next batch of turbine housing castings, with another to follow shortly.
“These are currently in our CNC-equipped machine shop and will be completed in the next few days, with completed turbos available very soon.
“Our higher-powered hybrids for the Golf, S3 and other MQB platform vehicles use a TT-designed turbine housing for improved performance.
“When assembled with our high flowing core assembly, bespoke heavy duty bearing system, and in-house designed custom compressor housing, the result is the ultimate performance turbo for the 2.0l TSI engine, capable of up to 550bhp and beyond.”
