Valeo expands EGR valve range to support internal combustion engine vehicles

Valeo has significantly expanded its EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve range, adding 46 new references to its existing portfolio, bringing their total EGR valve offering to 85, covering over 80 million vehicles across Europe.

Despite the rise of electric vehicles, internal combustion engines aren’t going anywhere soon. In the UK alone, over 83% of new cars sold in the first half of 2024 were powered by traditional petrol or diesel engines, along with mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and hybrids. This means garages will continue to require a reliable supply of parts for exhaust systems.

“Valeo’s goal is to offer garages a comprehensive exhaust management system solution,” said Andy Swann, Valeo Division General Manager. “Our customers will benefit from a broader selection of EGR valves due to our range expansion, enabling them to support the millions of motorists still driving internal combustion engine vehicles.”

Valeo’s exhaust range has been rapidly expanding, with the company delivering an impressive 355 oxygen sensor references and 265 EGT sensor references in recent years.

“This growth underscores Valeo’s commitment to meeting the needs of garages and motorists alike, said Andy, “ensuring they have the necessary parts to keep internal combustion engine vehicles running smoothly.”

Valeo’s commitment to the internal combustion engine market extends beyond EGR valves. In recent years, they have introduced a significant number of new references for oxygen sensors (355) and EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) sensors (265).

This comprehensive parts offering ensures garages have everything they need to maintain internal combustion engine vehicles.
