Valeo is rapidly expanding its product portfolio, by July 2024, they’ll be offering nearly 1,600 sensors in Europe, focusing on crucial components for hybrid vehicles.
A key area of growth for Valeo is camshaft and crankshaft sensors. They’ve added 265 new references since 2023, including parts for the Hyundai Kona Hybrid 48V (2020) and Citroën C5X Plug-in-Hybrid (2023). This expansion brings their total camshaft and crankshaft sensor range to 570, covering over 230 million vehicles in Europe.
Valeo has also expanded its exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor offering by 145 references in May 2024. This increase brings their total EGT sensor portfolio to 265, covering an impressive 79 million vehicles. The new additions cater to recent hybrid models like the Audi Q5 Sportback Mild-Hybrid (2021) and Volvo XC60 II Mild-Hybrid (2020).
June 2024 saw a further expansion with the release of 150 new mass airflow meter (MAF) sensors. This brings their total MAF sensor offerings to 240, covering 166 million vehicles in Europe. This strategic move strengthens distributor portfolios and caters to a wider range of hybrid applications, including the Volvo XC60 II T8 Plug-In Hybrid (2022) and Peugeot 408 II Hybrid 225 (2022).
