Technicians at Darlington Tyre and Auto Care have pledged to let their hair grow without any styling or trimming from until May.
The team must not groom facial hair and are not allowed any trims or haircuts throughout the charity challenge.
On May 1, the group will then have their heads completely shaved, with the hair being donated to a wig charity.
Michael Graves, of Darlington Tyre and Auto Care, Parkgate, said: “Some of us can be very particular about our hair so it genuinely will be a big deal to let it go a bit and not look after it.
“It’s going to be a long five long months and we would appreciate any donations to support the challenge.”
