Corteco, the aftermarket distribution arm of OE cabin filter manufacturer Freudenberg, has released a new catalogue with 49 new applications for popular models.
In the catalogue, Corteco is urging garages to empower their customers with “all the information they need to make positive improvements to the environment inside their car”.
Cabin air filters remove the irritants that can cause sneezing fits, watery eyes, runny noses or breathing issues, but performance declines as the filter becomes clogged, says the supplier.
Sales and marketing manager at Corteco, Steve Jarnet said: “New cabin air filers protect drivers and their families, but most garage customers are unaware of the measures they can take to improve their personal environment.
“Our message is that as a cabin air filter gets blocked, the benefits are lost.
”Frequent replacement, twice a year, makes practical sense.”
Corteco’s ‘must knows’
1. Air quality inside cars can be up to six times worse than outside.
2. Airborne irritants exacerbate some existing health conditions.
3. New cabin filters protect against irritant particles.
4. Poor quality air inside the car can add to road safety risks.
5. Activated carbon protects against smells and other gases.
Nearly one in two of all new cars equipped with cabin air filtration are already fitted with Freudenberg micronAir filters.
