Hella has become the 14th company to join the Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) and will participate in the forthcoming AutoInform Live event.

Hella supplies advanced technology and components to vehicle manufacturers for everything from large-scale volume production to the small scale assembly of specialised vehicles.

Its decision to join has been welcomed by OESAA Chairman Nigel Morgan, Managing Director of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd, owners of the LuK clutch, INA tensioner & FAG wheel bearing OE brands.

He said: “The company’s decision to join OESAA will only strengthen the campaign and we are delighted that it will become an active member and will participate in AutoInform Live.

“Our members all share a common concern – safety, and we want every mechanic in every workshop to recognise and understand the risk of fitting inferior or sub-standard non-tested parts.

Nigel explained that vehicle manufacturers and OE suppliers invest millions in R&D and testing to ensure that their products offer the highest levels of performance and safety to the consumer.

“The end-user experience is key to this message – namely that a vehicle is more likely to ‘feel the same and drive the same’ if the original parts are replaced ‘like-for-like’.

“The additional benefit for the installer is the reassurance that the product will fit first time, every time and that they can just ‘fit it and forget it’.”

OESAA is the driving force behind AutoInform Live – an event organised in conjunction with the UK’s leading technical trainer Frank Massey to provide visitors with a ‘Hear it, See it and Touch it’ experience.

The interactive weekend is being held at the state-of-the-art GTG Training Academy in Wolverhampton on November 28 & 29 and promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s inaugural event which attracted 180 technicians from all over the UK and Ireland.

It will provide delegates with live on-vehicle training, demonstrations and diagnostics, IMI certified courses, troubleshooting tips and business know-how from industry experts, advice on how to repair and replace the latest OE parts using the best tools for the job and fit and forget technology.

Training modules provided will cover chassis, business acumen, diagnostics, electrics, engine, filtration and transmission – all delivered by the leading trainers in their field.
