HELLA prepares for Automechanika Birmingham

Stand 9H31 to display Hella's range of OE and aftermarket components as well as workshop equipment

HELLA prepares for Automechanika Birmingham
Hella’s Neil Hilton.

Along side its 72sqm island stand, Hella will also play a central role in two other visitor-focused initiatives at Automechanika Birmingham next week.

Workshop of the Future is designed to give visitors the opportunity to look at what is round the corner in terms of service and repair.

Hella Gutmann Solutions will be showing its camera/radar system calibration (CSC) tool in conjunction with its Mega Macs diagnostic equipment, in order to help visitors visualise the challenges of, and the aftermarket solution for, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) recalibration.

Neil Hilton will be making a presentation at 11:20 on Wednesday 8th in the Aftermarket Theatre, entitled Overcoming the Challenges of ADAS.

Advanced driver assistance systems

Hella say ADAS technology is of fundamental importance to driver and pedestrian safety and therefore needs to function precisely, efficiently and reliably.

While it is obvious that ADAS technology will have the single biggest impact on the bodyshop and windscreen replacement sectors, where accident damage and glass replacement logically requires the system to be reset, traditional workshops concentrating on mechanical repair will also be confronted by this technology because even something as commonplace as an adjustment to the vehicle’s steering geometry will require the system’s recalibration.

As a result, service and repair work on these vehicles carries extra responsibility and therefore requires high quality equipment and technical user training.

Free prize draw

Throughout the event Hella is giving visitors the opportunity to win a fantastic Hella Gutmann Solutions Mega Macs 56 diagnostic tool worth more than £4,000.

Simply fill in the entry form and hand it in at the stand (9H31) and one lucky winner will walk away with what is the latest in diagnostic technology.

The market leading Mega Macs 56, which provides workshops with access to the latest in diagnostic information and is installed with ADAS recalibration software, will be plastic wrapped in the union flag to celebrate the first ever Automechanika event to be held in the UK.
