Joe Pugh of AutoCare workshop, Joe’s Repairs in Epsom, Surrey and his brother-in-law, Chris Bruce have completed the three highest peaks challenge, raising more than £1,200 for Prostate Cancer UK.
The pair complete the 24-hour challenge, which involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales, on June 18.
Joe’s apprentice, Jed Walker was tasked with driving the pair between peaks.
Joe told GW: “We’re did it for my dad.
“He died from prostate cancer and he was a very good hill walker, he climbed every peak in England and Wales so we thought it would be a fitting thing to do.
“We started climbing Ben Nevis on the Saturday at about 4.30pm, it was red-hot sunshine and we were down by 9.00pm.
“Scafell was really foggy, we started climbing about 3.00 am and we did that one in about three and half hours.
“We then did Snowdon in the rain and we did the whole challenge in 22 hours, 54 minutes.”
Donations can still be made via Joe’s Just Giving page, all funds will go to Prostate Cancer UK.
