Lotus grew new UK car sales in 2013 by 87% to 256 units, helped by the addition of the Evora Sports Racer, an Exige Roadster and an Elise S Club Racer.
Mitsubishi posted the second biggest % gain with sales up 38% to 9,044 units whilst Suzuki sales jumped 33% to 33,088.
Skoda led amongst the volume marques, up 23.3% to 66,081 units, ahead of Fiat who rose 20.6% to 60,198 units.
Amongst the losers were Proton with sales down 90% for the year to just 20 units. Chinese-owned MG saw sales decline 36% to 504 units. Chrysler also saw sales fall 24.5% to 2,515 units.
