Stephen K Amos, the well-known TV presenter, comedian, and actor, has been announced as the special guest speaker for the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025.
The awards, hosted by the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts, will take place on Wednesday 4th June 2025 at the NEC Birmingham, during the Automechanika Birmingham 2025 exhibition.
The event aims to highlight the achievements of garages, technicians, and bodyshops throughout the UK, with the shortlist of nominees to be announced shortly. Stephen K Amos, known for his engaging humour and stage presence, has entertained audiences globally through his stand-up, screen appearances, and TV panel shows such as QI and Pilgrimage. His recent work includes touring Australia with his show Oxymoron and an appearance in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, stated that the Garage Awards recognise the valuable contributions of the independent aftermarket’s workforce. He added that having Stephen K Amos as the special guest speaker will enhance the event, which is anticipated to be the largest garage awards to date.
The awards will feature 10 categories, including Garage of the Year, Best Community Initiative, and Young-Mechanik of the Year.
