MAM Software has announced that it will commence the rollout of a major new version of its Autowork Online garage management software today (July 5).
As well as a new look, the v173 release will incorporate a selection of new features designed to improve productivity and enhance usability.
Improvements will include an updated document screen, featuring a cleaner, easier to use layout.
This will incorporate a new job groupings facility, which allows parts and labour for a particular task to be grouped together, resulting in a clearer, easier to read document.
Another new feature will be deferred work, which will allow users to postpone work, rather than deleting it completely.
Improve productivity
Reminders can then be sent via SMS or email to customers and deferred work converted back to a job card when the customer returns.
A new work in progress (WIP) screen will provide a simple visual overview of the status of outstanding jobs. It will include support for job role-based templates, which allows users to see jobs relevant to them at a glance.
Also included in the upcoming release is a new technician efficiency and costs feature, which will allow technicians to log itemised time sheets.
MAM Software’s Gavin Sparks said: “This forthcoming release further demonstrates our commitment to developing practical software that helps garages owners run their business efficiently.
“The new features we’re including in this latest release have been designed to help workshops capitalise on job opportunities, simplify their workflow and keep costs under control.”
Autowork Online v173 is being rolled out to customers on a staggered basis starting on July 5, users will automatically receive the update as soon as it becomes available for their system.
