MAM Software has renewed its partnership with Irish aftermarket buying group, FG7.
17 of FG7’s 20 members use MAM’s Autopart business management software to manage their operations.
The solution is also employed at the central FG7 warehouse, alongside MAM’s warehouse management software.
This allows members to check stock and place orders directly from within their point-of-sale.
A growing number of the FG7 members access their MAM software via cloud services.
Hosted in a data centre, this managed Software as a Service (SaaS) approach provides members with the same functionality as MAM’s traditional software, but without the initial investment and ongoing maintenance of on-site server hardware.
Members are increasingly opting for the cloud option as its automatic patches and updates reduce their overheads, while daily backups provide peace-of-mind.

As a result of the partnership, MAM is currently in the process of rolling out Origin WebTrade, its B2B trading portal, to several FG7 members.
The e-commerce solution will integrate with members’ Autopart systems to allow them to trade electronically with their garage customers.
Colin Adams, FG7 director said: “We’ve been working with MAM for a considerable amount of time and many of our members rely on Autopart to manage their operations.
“Having MAM provide us with technical support is something that our members find reassuring.
“Some of our members, myself included, have already signed-up to Origin WebTrade and are looking forward to implementing the portal.
“It will allow us to compete in the B2B ecommerce marketplace by giving our trade customers the option to lookup products, check prices and availability, and order online.”
Mark Kendall, national sales manager at MAM Software, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with FG7 and strengthening our relationship with the group in the future.
“We are committed to providing members of FG7 with innovative business management solutions, top-level technical support, and ways to improve business efficiency.
“We’re also pleased to be able to provide FG7 with an innovative solution to develop their e-commerce side of business.”
