The reckless driver was not reported to police as they viewed the road ahead using a small gap for the windscreen.

A BMW was seen travelling down a Kent road with its bonnet up, giving dangerous driving a whole new meaning during this shocking incident.

The dark car was seen gliding down the A20 near Charing, Kent, despite the driver being unable to see the road ahead.

A man who saw the bizarre driving tactic at 9.30am on the last Saturday in March said he was ‘totally gobsmacked’.

Dashcam footage showed the BMW calmly driving along behind a silver Volvo with its engine exposed to the elements.

It is seen heading down towards a bend in the road travelling at a similar speed to other drivers.

A 61-year-old male witness from Ashford, Kent, said it looked ‘strange’ as it approached him.

Unable to see clearly

“I’m totally gobsmacked that someone could be driving like that unable to see clearly ahead of them.

“I think they must have been looking through a small gap between the bottom of the bonnet and the dashboard to carry on.

“It’s an accident waiting to happen really and they are going to kill someone.”

The dangerous driving was not reported to Kent Police.
