Revive recently carried out a demonstration for a distributor at Oettinger Sportsystems GmbH in Germany.
Suffering from ‘a hesitation on boost’, the subject vehicle was a 2004 Mazda MPV diesel with 198,000 KMs.
Revive’s Andy Amor said: “The vehicle was put on a Dynamometer before having a Revive treatment and the trace clearly indicated there was an issue when boost was required.
“A little while after, the engine was cool enough to carry out a full Revive treatment.
“Applying the fluid through the air intake, after the mass air flow sensor, the RPM was held at 2,300 for the first 250ml and then 1,800 rpm for the second dose of 250ml.
“The engine was then switched off for 5 minutes as per instructions.
“A final dose of 250ml was then applied at 2,000 rpm, which at that stage, white water vapour and smoke was emitting from the exhaust.
“A few minutes later, after the Revive fluid had worked through the system, the vehicle was taken for a drive in a high gear, using the torque of the engine, making the turbo work under load.
“A second Dyno run was done after the treatment and the solid trace line clearly illustrates that Revive made a big difference to the boost when required.”
The owner of the vehicle reported a much smoother drive and less black smoke.
