A mechanic has quit his job due to health problems caused by dust and debris kicked up by passing lorries.

Gary Wray, owner of New Again Auto Reconditioning in Chelmsford, uploaded a video to his website, Dusty Chelmsford, highlighting the issue and blaming Aggregate Industries.

The construction company acknowledged the problem last year and stated that they have invested in improvements at their Chelmsford site. However, Mr. Wray and other residents continue to experience the effects of the dust.

Chelmsford City Council has received complaints about the dust and conducted investigations. While they have advised Aggregate Industries on ways to reduce the impact, the issue persists.

The dust has caused various problems for local businesses and residents. In addition to affecting the health of car repair workers, the dust has damaged shopfronts and caused concerns about air quality.

Mr. Wray and other residents are urging the authorities to take further action to address the problem and hold Aggregate Industries accountable for the ongoing disruption and health risks.
