Kayleigh Gordon, a carer from Edinburgh, is facing significant inconvenience due to delays in repairing her Hyundai Kona, which broke down just a month after purchase.
Despite initially being attributed to a manufacturing defect, the issue has since been identified as a gearbox problem, further delaying the repair process. The extended wait time has left Kayleigh without a suitable vehicle for her needs, particularly as she is the primary carer for her elderly father.
The provided replacement car, while appreciated, is not suitable for her father’s mobility needs. This has resulted in additional stress and logistical challenges for Kayleigh.
“I’m incredibly frustrated,” said Kayleigh. “The whole process has been demoralising, and the uncertainty has taken a toll on my mental and physical health.”
Macklin Motors has apologised for the delay and assures that they are working to resolve the issue. However, the prolonged inconvenience has left Kayleigh feeling let down and frustrated.
The incident highlights the potential challenges faced by car owners when dealing with vehicle repairs, especially when delays occur and replacement vehicles are not suitable for individual needs.
