R Jackson Motors, a beloved family-run garage in Herne Bay, Kent, has closed its doors after nearly a century of service.
The garage, established in 1932 by Lewis Harold Jackson, has been a staple in the community, offering a wide range of services including car repairs, lorry maintenance, agricultural machinery servicing, and even the restoration of classic cars like Rolls-Royces.
After taking over the business, Richard and Brenda Jackson continued the family legacy, providing quality service to their loyal customers. However, after decades of dedicated work, the couple has decided to retire.
Richard expressed gratitude to their customers and staff: “We would like to thank our many thousands of loyal customers and our dedicated team, especially Lee Harrison and Tom Howland, who have been invaluable to the business.”
As R Jackson Motors closes its doors, it leaves behind a rich history of serving the local community and a legacy of quality workmanship.
