The PSNI has taken action against vehicles with excessively loud exhausts in Portadown town centre, following complaints from residents.
The Portadown Neighbourhood Policing Team, working alongside colleagues from Lurgan and the DVA (Driver and Vehicle Agency), responded to concerns about modified cars causing noise disturbances in the evenings.
A number of vehicles were subsequently taken to an MOT testing centre by the PSNI for inspection. While the details of the tests or any enforcement actions are not specified, the PSNI’s intervention demonstrates their commitment to addressing noise pollution and ensuring a peaceful environment for the community.
