Last month workshop CCTV caught the moment a mechanic at DingerDevelopments ended up taking part in some involuntary acrobatics when working on a stripped-out, track special MK4 Volkswagen Polo.
The star of the video said:
I am a try it yourself before you fail type of guy. And this time it was a miserable fail. After spending lots of money on the car to put a roll cage in it, I decided I wanted to restore the underside. I borrowed a Jig off my friend who is an electrician (he’s put his car on it, so how hard can it be?!).
Turns out unless you know what you’re doing it can be dangerous and of course I learned it the hard way! I was by myself at DingerDevelopments workshop and had no one to laugh with.
Anyway, I’m okay, the car can be repaired, and we all get to laugh at my stupidity.

Surprised you haven’t broken your nest navigating that obstacle course of a mess there every day! Methinks H&S will be paying a visit very soon.
Matt
I was just thinking the same thing.
