Thomas Moulds, 32, has been sentenced to two years and seven months in prison for a series of offences, including threatening to kill a colleague.
Moulds, who was working at an MoT centre in Hull on April 8, 2023, threatened a colleague with a snap-on blade, shouting that he would kill him and using racial abuse. He later sent a text message threatening the man’s life.
Following his dismissal from the MoT centre, Moulds threatened the garage owner, stating he would “rip the other man’s throat out.” Police subsequently apprehended Moulds, who was found to be in possession of a small quantity of cannabis.
Further incidents included harassment of a woman on May 19, 2023, which escalated to aggressive behaviour. On June 8, 2023, Moulds approached the woman, touched her inappropriately, and then assaulted her, including exposing himself and kneeing her in the groin.
Moulds admitted to offences of threatening with an offensive weapon, harassment, and criminal damage. He was convicted after trials of racially aggravated threatening behaviour, assault, exposure, and sexual assault.
The court heard that Moulds’ actions stemmed from a period of personal instability, including job loss and relationship breakdown. Judge John Thackray KC described the offences as a “catalogue of appalling offences” and imposed a 10-year restraining order.
