Richard Turner, 40, and Katie Wilcock, 39, have appeared at Teesside Crown Court to deny fraud charges relating to the now-closed Rosewood Motor Company Ltd, formerly located on Metcalfe Road, Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough.
Both Turner and Wilcock pleaded not guilty to defrauding customers by knowingly selling defective vehicles and by failing to settle customers’ car finance agreements after agreeing to do so at the point of sale.
Turner also denied a charge of fraudulent trading, specifically transferring company money to personal accounts, knowing the business was insolvent.
Turner, of Wordsworth Vale, Acklam, Middlesbrough, and Wilcock, of Kinloch Road, Normanby, were granted unconditional bail. They are scheduled to stand trial in January 2027.
