A Walsall garage owner, Nawaz Arslan, has been praised for his heroic actions in saving the life of a delivery driver. When a GSF Car Parts employee, Peter Roberts, suffered a heart attack during a delivery, Arslan swiftly assessed the situation and called emergency services.
Despite the stressful circumstances, Arslan followed the instructions of emergency personnel over the phone, performing CPR on Roberts until paramedics arrived. Roberts was then taken to the hospital, where he received further treatment and is now recovering.
“It was a frightening experience, but I knew I had to act quickly,” said Arslan. “Hearing Peter’s voice now is a huge relief.”
Roberts himself expressed his gratitude, stating, “Naz is my hero. Without his quick actions, I wouldn’t be here today.”
GSF Car Parts CEO, Steve Horne, commended Arslan’s bravery: “His actions went above and beyond, and we’re incredibly grateful for his life-saving assistance.”
To express their appreciation, GSF presented Arslan with a gift basket. This heartwarming incident highlights the positive impact that community members can have on each other’s lives.
