New AutoTech assessment and training now available
Hundreds of technicians have so far taken up the challenge of the first AutoTech assessment, which comprises 30 multiple choice questions covering mechanical, electrical and diagnostic scenarios.

Independent technicians and workshop owners are invited to join Auto Technician and its team of trainers and sponsors for an informal Saturday get together, with technical presentations requested by the audience, good food and entertainment at Tool Connection in Southam, Warwickshire in September.

Repair superstars Andy Crook of GotBoost, James Dillon of Technical Topics, Frank Massey of Autoinform and Steve Smith of Pico Technology have already confirmed their slots and will create their presentations following guest requests.

Speaking to GW, Pico Technology said: “Developing skills and professionalism in our industry has never been more important.

“Autotech offers the chance for technicians to both learn from, and engage with many of the UK’s automotive experts.

“We believe that this program offers the chance to discover, nurture and recognise talent in a highly visible event.

“Pico’s Steve Smith, himself a former Top Technician winner, relishes the opportunity to discuss the experiences and suggestions of so many technicians at the Big Day Out.”

Tickets purchased before 25 July are £49.50 and tier two tickets will be £59.50, email [email protected] or call 01634 924 406 to reserve your ticket.
