New Toyota scheme aims to keep older cars in its franchised network

Toyota has cut the price of franchised servicing for its cars that are more than 5 years old but less than 17.

Fixed prices start at £116 for an intermediate service of an Aygo to £208 for a full service.

Owners qualify for membership of Toyota’s 5+ Club if their Toyota car, van or pick-up is between five and 16 years old.

There is no joining fee or annual subscription charge, owners just need to complete an online registration form to join.

Once approved, they receive a welcome letter and a membership card which they can use to secure 20 per cent reductions on the standard cost of interim and full vehicle services and the annual MOT test at participating Toyota centres.

The announcement marks the latest marketing tactic by a vehicle manufacturer to keep older vehicles in the franchised network of main dealers.
